Born in Hong Kong but grew up in Southern California across from Santa Anita Racetrack is horsewoman Andie Biancone. You can now find Andie at Palm Meadows Training Centre in South Florida working for trainer Patrick L. Biancone, who just happens to be her father. You will find Andie out on the track in the morning galloping but later doing duties for her father as the assistant. Horse Racing currently isn't the only thing on her plate, she is also a student at the University of Florida. Andie is working towards completing her BA in Animal Science with just one year left.

This girls love for racing has been with her since day one, it runs in her blood. "I have always been around the racehorses and have always felt called to pursue a career with them" Andie says. Growing up Andie spent her summers and weekends with her father practically right under his feet clocking horses, feeling legs and walking hots. If you were unable to find Andie in the shedrow it's because she was in a stall spending time with her favourite horses.

Andie started working for her father full time when she moved to Florida in the fall of 2016. The following year she learned how to gallop, from then on, she was getting on horses for her father in the mornings before she would head to school. Andie also spent some time breaking babies in Ocala at Lambholm South. Andie has now been galloping for three years and loves it.

Andie found her life came to a sudden halt when her family got some upsetting news. Her father was diagnosed with kidney cancer. The diagnoses didn't stop the father and daughter duo if anything it has brought the two closer together. "My dad is my ultimate hero; if I could be half the horseman he is, I would feel accomplished" Andie says. To add to the mix of emotions the team has two potential contenders for the 2020 Kentucky Derby. It has been a tough year for Andie between coping with her father's diagnosis and with having two horses potentially running for the roses. "I am forever grateful to all of our horses, without them I'd be lost," said Andie.
